Vote

I hope everyone voted by now! In case you were wondering which candidate would support MALINTENT and other security measurements it would be Obama.  He is the "go to" man in this situation.

Hey O Bro, I thought about you yesterday when I heard a report about the Department of Homeland Security issuing a memo to its staff about how to deal with the Obama transition team. It is so interesting to think about what will take place during the transition, and obviously with the confidential nature of Homeland Security information, it gets even more interesting. I thought the wording of the memo was classic. Departmental employees were instructed not to speak directly to transition team members, rather they should direct any inquiries to specially chosen designated employees. Which makes total sense, but I just got a kick out of the part that says members of the transition team "are respected guests and are not federal employees." Of course there is a high level of security, but I guess at some point down the road everyone who needs to be involved will get clearance so that the transition can be effective. It's just so interesting to read a memo that is being circulated in the Department of Homeland Security, and to be able to get a sense of what is going on in the lives of the people who work there. I enjoyed following your blog and learned a great deal about the issue of security and the delicate balance with issues of personal privacy.

By the way I know this doesn't really pertain to this particular post on voting, but I just wanted to let you know that I pay much more attention to this subject after following your blog!
